Jane Bryant joined Artswork as Chief Executive in October 2010 following her role as Project Director with Hampshire County Council for a Government-led arts and culture programme, Find your Talent. Previous roles include Chief Executive of Coda Music Trust, Head of Development with Arts Council England SE, Director of Cumbria Arts in Education and Music Co-ordinator with the Scottish Arts Council.
With a degree in Music from Leeds University and a postgraduate certificate in education, Jane began her career as a Music Teacher in the Orkney Islands, initially travelling to a range of outer island primary and secondary schools by car, boat and plane. After 5 years, she moved from Orkney to the United Arab Emirates, to become Head of Music with Dubai College.
Jane is currently a trustee and member of the Board of Governors of Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. Jane is also an active practising musician and in her spare time conducts two choirs in Hampshire.
