Megan joined Artswork in July 2016 as Administration Assistant for the Learning and Skills Team. She has since worked across both learning and skills and the communications department before taking on the role of Communications Officer.
Megan graduated in 2015 with a 1st class honours degree in Fine Art from Oxford Brookes University. As a conceptual artist, her practice is multidisciplinary -comprising of sculpture, sound, video and image. Her installations have been exhibited in Southampton, Oxford and London. She gained events management experience through her organisation of the group exhibition, Axis, in London’s Brick Lane and won third place in the national, Exhibit Me Art Competition, with Art Retail Network.
Growing up on classic Hollywood musicals led to her gaining a comprehensive dance education in Tap, Jazz, Modern and Ballet, and Megan has been a part of numerous productions, from Cinderella to Mary Poppins.
In her spare time, Megan can usually be found in the theatre. She also inevitably loves visiting art galleries, holidaying, donning her pointe shoes and spending time with the love of her life – her dog Buzz.
She also volunteers for the K6 Gallery and Platform Gallery in Southampton, assisting with the organisation and installation of exhibitions as well as the development of their events programmes.
