Lesley Wood is a freelance creative & educational professional with more than 20 years’ in depth cross sector experience of work in the creative, heritage, education and cultural sectors.
She has extensive consultancy experience working nationally providing support and training development in youth arts, project management, skills development, professional practice, engagement, and evaluation.
An experienced educational professional she has developed, written and delivered a range of accredited and non-accredited creative courses including performing arts and technical theatre courses within compulsory education.
She has written and delivered many peer education, mentoring and professional development programmes and provided training for young people, professionals and emerging professionals working across the heritage, creative and cultural sectors.
She regularly works with organisations from across the sectors to evaluate the impact of creative projects. As an evaluation consultant she has developed reports that link medical, educational, heritage and skills based frameworks to creative outcomes.
Lesley is an artist in her own right and has developed work with many of the region’s leading organisations. As well as developing theatre and performance work she works as a writer and visual artist. Working with the heritage, creative and cultural sectors she has developed many site-specific resources to support community outreach and has extensive experience of creative work within communities and schools.
