The English National Youth Arts Network undertakes national campaigns to advocate for arts and culture with, for and by young people.
Youth Arts Transforms Lives – FACT
‘…I am delighted to support this campaign and trust it will energise all those who are currently working in this vibrant field; attract new supporters and convince policy and decision makers to do all they can to ensure the future of the arts for and by young people.’ - Sir Ken Robinson, Honorary President of Artswork and the English National Youth Arts Network commenting on the 2011 national campaign
The campaign resource demonstrated - through exceptional case studies and evidence – the transformational power of the arts to make positive changes to the lives of young people. Youth Arts transforms Lives – FACT has illustrated the real and positive impact that participation in the arts has on the lives, aspirations, motivation and self esteem of young people including those who are particularly at risk.
Young Arts Leaders – 2008 Campaign
‘ We feel it is a very useful and comprehensive resource that arts colleagues could use as a basis to develop targeted young leaders programmes.‘ Elaine Garfitt, Deputy Director, Youth Dance England
Young Arts Leaders was a high profile campaign that succeeded in attracting attention and involvement of central government, was endorsed by numerous leading figures within the creative and cultural industries and involved many key agencies responsible for leading on and realising young people’s creative and cultural entitlement. Through the many outputs of the campaign (which included events, training programmes and advocacy initiatives) the campaign succeeded in widening people’s understanding of the plentiful benefits that investment in such projects can bring.
