Artswork has been working with partners across the South East to deliver arts resources to children and young people in challenging circumstances.  Partners include Kent County Council, Buckinghamshire County Council, Virtual Schools and Towner Art Gallery.

Packs have been distributed through schools and foodbanks to ensure those who do not have access to supplies can still be creative during the lockdown. Youssiff in Eastbourne has wasted no time in putting the resources to good use, creating a fantastic rainbow. In this first phase, 800 packs are being delivered across the region.

“Supporting children and young people’s creativity is at the heart of all our work and we recognise that many children are finding this situation extremely challenging. We are, therefore, delighted to be working with partners and Arts Council England to support them in practical ways through these packs. ” Jane Bryant, CEO Artswork.

Other packs will be going out this week and we hope to find more ways of supporting arts organisations and schools to deliver more resources and packs to young people across the region in the coming weeks.
