Artswork Joins Get Inspired Southampton Careers Fair

Get Inspired Southampton careers fair, supported by GO!Southampton and Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, took place at Solent University on Thursday, 12 May 2022. Artswork were among 32 exhibitors spending their day inspiring young minds with creative career opportunities and examples.

More than 750 children and young people, aged between 12 to 15, came into the fair to explore the opportunities for their future career choices. The event gave them the unique opportunity to talk face to face with local organisations, and with education providers.

Many of the students who paid a visit to Artswork’s stand had a chance to write about their future career aspirations and hang them on our little “Wishing Tree”. This activity provided young people with the chance to start a conversation with their peers about their future goals and get inspired by each other at the same time.

Our upcoming apprenticeship opportunities and Arts Awards’ creative programmes were among the topics promoted for the children and young people who would love to get into a creative career or pursue their creative education further.

Throughout the day, we inspired a diverse range of bright and eager minds and showed them the possible creative paths they can take to become who they want to be.
