Youth-Led Artist’s Commission Call

Youth-Led Artist’s Commission Call

Our Young Cultural Changemakers Programme is putting creative place-making power in the hands of young people. Young people across the South East are empowered to lead on significant creative projects in their local area, transforming their lives and those of their neighbours. Working with local communities and with a range of partners, we are listening to the views, experiences and ideas of children and young people and supporting them to explore creative ways to make change happen in their areas.

Young Cultural Changemakers Programme is supported using public funding by Arts Council England to deliver on their ‘Let’s Create’ strategy. In the year 2024-25, we will be positioned in 5 areas in the South East – ArunDoverSloughThe Isle of Wight and The New Forest. This project will run from 2023-2026.

See this link for more information about our Young Cultural Changemakers Programme.

In partnership with Young Cultural Changemakers in these areas, Artswork is always looking to commission local professional creative facilitators to work on a number of youth led projects. The themes of the projects are shaped by young people themselves and aimed to address any issues the young people in these areas may be facing. The artists will work with young people on a creative project that aims to have a positive impact on them and their wider community. These commissions are a co-creation between the creative(s) and the Young Cultural Changemakers.
