LOVE Local High Street Events, Summer 2021
Artswork collaborated with Littlehampton Town Council and Arun District Council to produce a programme of high quality family friendly arts events on Littlehampton High Street across the post-covid summer of 2021.
A mixture of work BY local young people including….
- A pop up photography exhibition, Step into Colour, by A-level students at The Littlehamtpon Academy mentored by photography organisation Corridor
- Street performances by Sussex Steel Youth Band
- A street dance off by Chichester Festival Youth Theatre
And quality work FOR families working with…
- Applause Outdoors to present pop up Dukeboxes, giant interactive chime bars and a very naughty mobile ice-cream parlour
- Fedora for traditional sea-side entertainment
- Littlehampton’s Organisation of Community Arts (LOCA) for a high street chalk takeover
- UCanSpray for large scale urban art
- Creative Heart for crafting workshops and sea-shanties.

The programme was shortlisted by the National Campaign for the Arts in the Best Project category.
