Spoken Word Teacher’s Resource
Date Created: 29th Oct 2021
Created in collaboration with Apples & Snakes and Kat Francois, this resource has been created to help teachers and educators to use poetry and spoken word within a learning setting and/or the school curriculum.
Exploring creative ways to engage young people in spoken word poetry, from creating their own poems through to performance, this booklet contains poetry examples, lesson plans (for KS1-4) and more.
This resource was produced to complement a series of CPD events for South East settings on their Artsmark journey, in January 2021. It can be used support a setting on their Artsmark journey by showing how to plan an arts activity, and evaluate and evidence its impact. It also demonstrates how to link Arts Council England’s Quality Principles when planning and implementing an arts activity.
