Afreen Ali (She/ Her)

Finance Manager

Afreen joined Artswork in March 2016 as an Accounts Assistant in a temporary capacity. She has since become a permanent member of staff as the Finance and Programme Administrator. Having graduated in 2012 from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First Class honours in Accounting and Finance, Afreen worked for Blue Rainbow Aparthotels in their Accounts department until 2015, when she relocated to Southampton.

Afreen’s passion for art can be traced back to her hometown of Nairobi, where, at the age of 7, she would create sketches using a heavily-guarded collection of pencils, crayons, brushes and paints. She also loves scrapbooking and is forever looking for more memories to fill her paper with.

When she isn’t crunching numbers, Afreen spends time experimenting with her cooking, being buried in a book and looking for the next holiday destination to explore.
