Community Engagement Coordinator
Helen Ball is the Community Engagement Coordinator for Audiences London, the audience development agency for the arts and heritage sector in the capital. In her role Helen provides support, training and events to promote and develop community engagement within arts organisations.
Helen has previously worked as a Community Arts Officer for Salford City Council and a Participation Officer for Children and Young People at Voices Sefton, the lead project for children and young people’s consultation and participation in the borough of Sefton. Helen has experience working in the private, statutory, and voluntary sector for organisations that include Candlestar cultural consultancy, Sefton Children’s Fund, The Bluecoat Arts Centre and PDA social research.
Helen completed an MA in Childhood in 2006 and has completed qualitative research on the subject of evaluation in community arts projects with young people. She has been involved with arts projects with young people for the last 10 years working with organisations that include Artswork, Full Circle Arts, and Free Arts NYC.
