Mandie Wraxall (She/Her)

Careers Trainer

Mandie started her career as a Primary School Teacher and has worked in education ever since. Her longest period of employment was at the National Maritime Museum as the eLearning Manager. At the museum, she led a team digitising the collections and creating interactive learning resources for the website, galleries and exhibitions.

When she left the museum, Mandie trained and worked as a children’s counsellor with the Place to Be at a school in Deptford. This made her an advocate for the value of art, drama, music and dance as therapy and cemented her belief that children use the arts to tell their stories.

Her most recent role was as Head of Education at Under 1 Roof, a children’s centre in Woolwich, where she helped schools to gain their Artsmark. Whilst at Under 1 Roof, Mandie formed a Children’s Parliament with 5 local primary schools, enabling them to put on community events which raised awareness of some of the issues they faced outside of school using role play, film and storytelling.

Mandie is a year round sea swimmer and loves films, live music and going to the theatre.
