Mara Smart (She/Her)

Mara joined the Artswork team in June 2024 as a Creative Producer Apprentice and is working towards the Level 3 events Assistant Standard. She is looking forward to working on a variety of different events across the Isle of Wight, bringing the creative arts to young people. Mara believes that it is important to allow young people the space to explore the arts in a way that empowers them to look forward to their future.

Outside of the Apprenticeship, Mara enjoys spending time outside with friends and going on walks with her dog. Her other hobbies include reading and consuming media such as television and film, often eager to expand her creative knowledge and experience. Before the Apprenticeship, Mara studied an Art History and Film Studies degree at university, where she was able to expand her knowledge on the arts.
