Norinne Betjemann
Chair of Trustees
Norinne is an experienced arts professional working independently as a visual artist and as an arts development consultant. She has a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic interventions to achieve positive change. Whilst in a senior position at Arts Council England, Norinne oversaw the development and implementation of national initiatives such as Artsmark and Arts Award.
She believes that all young people should have the opportunity to experience the arts and culture as producers, participants and audience members, and that young people’s positive engagement in the arts contributes to both their wellbeing and that of society as a whole.
Norinne responds to art that speaks to one’s emotions, for instance the work of Anselm Kiefer. In addition to the visual arts, her interests include creative writing and cooking. While she adores London, Norinne is a country girl at heart and loves long walks, particularly along the coast.
