Holiday activities and food in Portsmouth
Date Created: 13th Jul 2021
This summer, we are delighted to be working with Portsmouth City Council to provide two weeks of fun, exciting arts-based activities, exploring cultures from around the world, as part of the HAF Fun Pompey Summer programme.
A fantastic way to boost confidence, make new friends and learn about keeping happy and healthy, we will be providing two one-week programmes of activity at Portsmouth Academy (26 – 30 July, open to school years 6 & 7), and Buckland Community Centre (2-6 August, open to 10-14 year olds).
Children will have an opportunity to try different dance styles, creative activities, and food, as they learn about a different country each day – working towards a celebration performance for parents and carers at the end of the week. Meals will be provided each day, and all attendees will take home a set of recipe cards containing a meal from each of the countries they have explored.
Places are limited, and available free for children eligible for free school meals. A small number of paid places are also available at Buckland Community Centre.
