Build confidence to empower young voices and leaders in your organisation
On 17 September you can join us for an interactive and inspiring online event, delivered in partnership with Norfolk and Norwich Festival Connect & Create and supported by Arts Council England South East. Reality Check: Why Enable Youth Voice and Youth Leadership? is the first of four events in a series that explores the benefits, challenges and practicalities of enabling youth voice and youth leadership in your organisation.
The programme will increase your confidence to embed youth voice in your work. You’ll clarify why you want to enable youth voice, and through practical tasks, you’ll see how you can turn what you’re learning into achievable actions for your organisation.
You’ll have the opportunity to hear from organisations that are already engaging young people in decision-making processes and empowering them to become agents of change, and from some of those young people themselves. As well as learning from their experiences and best practices, you’ll also be able to network with other participants who share your vision and passion. Lastly, you’ll have access to a curated set of resources to support your youth voice journey.
Whether you are new to the concept of youth voice or already have some initiatives in place, this series of events will provide you with valuable insights and practical tools to take your work to the next level.
This programme works best if you or another team member can attend all four sessions.
Other session dates will be:
12 November 2024, 3pm – 5pm – Listening and responding to youth voice
21 January 2025, 3pm – 5pm – Sharing the power
4 March 2025, 3pm – 5pm – Influencing and changing society
