A statement from Joint CEOs, Jane Bryant and Louise Govier on behalf of Artswork:

“It is with huge sadness that we reflect on the loss of Sir Ken Robinson who died on 21st August 2020. Sir Ken was Artswork’s first and Founding Chairman – indeed, he set Artswork up in 1987. He has remained as Artswork’s Honorary President and Patron.

Artswork – and all of us – have lost a great friend and an inspirational life-long champion for the arts and creativity in the education and lives of children and young people. For many of us, Sir Ken has been a personal and professional inspiration throughout our working lives. Known throughout the world and internationally applauded and respected, he has made a tremendous difference to the education and lives of children and young people through his inspirational leadership, his inimitable advocacy and his unwavering commitment to the fundamental importance of the arts and creativity for children and young people.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all of those feeling his loss.”
