Charlie Henry

Artist Educator

Charlie Henry has worked as a freelance Artist Educator since 2004. With training in Physical Theatre and visual art her practice is eclectic, collaborative and centres on unearthing stories. Her favourite projects start with a metaphorical blank canvas.

She has been commissioned to make podcasts, films, art installations, devised and delivered learning programs, created installations, performances; facilitated interactive workshops and training projects for a range of clients including: The National Trust, Tate Britain, Crisis Skylight, Telford and Wreaking Council, The British Council, Oxford University Education Department, Oyap Trust, OCM, Pitt Rivers, Nottingham Castle and Museum, Nottingham Council, Wordquest, M-Shed, The Arnolfini, Lemos and Crane, and many more.

Charlie leads workshops that are engaging, believing in the healing alchemical process of the arts. She cultivates spaces where people listen more deeply (to themselves and each other) to arrive at new understandings. Since 2014 Charlie has worked as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor (MBACP Acc). She works part-time running a counselling service in a secondary school. Alongside this she tries to disseminate theory and train teachers, artists & those working in the cultural sectors in relevant theoretical perspectives and reflective thinking.
