Playland, Portsmouth is a unique opportunity to develop and test a model of a truly youth-led creative community venue in the heart of the city, particularly serving disengaged and under-served communities.  This role will support and enable local young people to run and programme the building for themselves and other young people in their community. We also want the building to encourage entrepreneurship in the young people involved as they work towards ensuring sustainability for the venue beyond the current 2-year funding. We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to bring this vision to life.  As well as being a creative thinker who is able to turn on a sixpence, you will need to have the ability to build trust with groups of young people in order for them to succeed, and to be passionate about empowering young people through youth led work. This project is part of the longer-term vision for Artswork and, as such, this role will work closely with the Deputy CEO.
