Free courses for individuals and organisations in 'Priority Areas' of the South East of England
As a National Portfolio Organisation funded by Arts Council England, we are committed to boosting investment and opportunities in Priority Places. These are the communities where we believe arts and culture can make the greatest impact. If you live or work in the following areas, you qualify for fully funded places on a range of Artswork Professional Development courses:
These courses do not need a code for you to access them as we will check regularly whether these courses are being accessed by individuals and organisations in Priority Areas. If we notice that these courses are being accessed in non Priority Areas, we may contact you and ask that you pay the course fee.
We’re offering these free courses to help individuals and organisations in Priority Areas unlock their creative potential and learn new skills. Our mission is to empower individuals in these areas, making sure that everyone has the opportunity to access and benefit from the arts.

Understanding Unconscious Bias
Unconscious, or implicit, bias is a response that we all use to make instinctive decisions, using pre-existing information to shortcut decision making processes.
Understanding Equality and Diversity
Understand how to make your workplace more inclusive and accessible. Delve into protected characteristics, unconscious bias, prejudice and how to tackle them.
Understanding How to Create Surveys
Learn all about developing and delivering surveys. Ideal for anyone who wants to use surveys to support organisational growth and development, data collection and/ or evaluation processes.
Using Personas to Support your Activities
Personas build understanding of stakeholders & can help develop project & product development, evaluation, consultation & facilitation. This course provides a quick guide & resources to help you to develop personas and apply them to your work.

Our Professional Development Programme
Our programme of training courses and bespoke support harnesses the power of creativity to improve professional practice and create a better working environment for all organisations, with topics including innovation, creative wellbeing and safeguarding.
RISE - Artswork Creative Bursaries
We are giving £500 bursaries to 20 young creatives aged 13-25 in the South East to support and enhance their creative practice. Deadline for applications is 26th November 2023
