The Peer Action Collective is a £5.2 million programme, which aims to give young people the chance to make their communities safer, fairer places to live. It is funded by the Youth Endowment Fund, the #iwill Fund (a joint investment between The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport) and the Co-op Group.  PAC is here to support young people to take the lead. It’s a ground-breaking network of peer researchers. That means that young people will be in charge of asking questions and finding out what needs to happen to make their area a better place for to live.

Phase one of the programme was delivered in the Southeast between July 2021 and March 2023 by three consortium partners,Unloc, Artswork and Youth Options with an innovative programme which put young people in leadership roles, designing and conducting research into their peer’s experiences of violence and working together to take action and shape impactful solutions.  This report and film are the result of the work of all the young people involved and examines the learning from their research and the impact of some of the social action projects which were undertaken in the region.
