London’s Royal Academy of Arts is looking for artists aged 5-19 to enter this year’s Young Artists’ Summer Show. This is a free exhibition, both online and in a gallery, where young people from across the UK have the opportunity to showcase their artwork.

Last year, Royal Academy received over 6,000 submissions and this year they want even more!

The submitted arts pieces will be judged by a panel of experts, including Royal Academicians, Royal Academy curators and Royal Academy Schools’ students, who will award prizes to each key stage.

How do you take part?

Teachers need to register their school for the students to be able to submit their artworks. Students over the age of 13 can submit their own pieces, while those 13 and under can have theirs submitted by a teacher, parent or guardian.

Applications close on Friday 24th April 2020, with judging taking place in May. Once completed, the online and onsite exhibitions will open on Sunday 12th July 2020.

More information and registration can be found on their website and you can see last year’s exhibition here.
