As part of Artswork’s Teaching Schools investment programme, Shepway Teaching Schools alliance worked with the Creative Foundation and in particular, permanent artworks from the Folkestone Triennial, over the course of a year to develop a local area curriculum, titled A Sense of Place.
Dr Jonathan Barnes from Canterbury Christchurch University acted as adviser and evaluator of the programme, and wrote a report entitled Arts Building Hope, Motivation and Engagement in the locality of Folkestone, which is now available as a case study here.
