Oxfordshire County Council Short Breaks Programme

Artswork worked with Kay Willis, Disability Services Development Manager at Oxfordshire County Council, to enable providers of short breaks to work with local arts and cultural organisations to help young people to gain an Arts Award.

They also helped the Council build expertise in working with arts and cultural organisations.
Short Breaks provide disabled children and young people with an opportunity to spend time away from their parents, relaxing and having fun with their friends. They provide families with a ‘break’ from their caring responsibilities, allowing parents a chance to unwind, rest or spend time with other children in their family.
