Oxfordshire Short Breaks Scheme

Over the summer of 2016, six Disability Provider organisations worked with arts practitioners and Arts Award on a Short Breaks project with disabled young people in Oxfordshire. Funded by Oxfordshire County Council, Artswork supported the work through its Partnership Investment initiative.
The Short Breaks scheme provided disabled children and young people with the opportunity to spend time away from their parents, relaxing and having fun with their friends. It also meant that families could have a short time away from their caring responsibilities, freeing them up to spend time with other children, or simply unwind and recharge.
