Camilla Forest
Camilla Forest is curator and project manager for Hope: Youth Voices for Change. She is founder of Culture River, an independent consultancy helping arts and heritage organisations create experiences rooted in people and place.
Over 15 years, including a decade at the National Trust, Camilla has produced exhibitions and commissions with contemporary artists, from Anouk Mercier’s Caprice to Sam Smith’s Nearness at Stourhead. She has also co-produced participatory work with communities, including A Thousand Feathers, an installation made from more than 1,000 feathers created by local people.
Camilla is passionate about youth-led practice and co-creation. On Hope, she sees her role as creating the conditions for young people’s ideas to reach the gallery with their meaning intact. That means listening closely, sharing decisions, and making sure the finished exhibition is recognisably theirs.
Camilla is based in Wiltshire.
