Artswork Welcomes Channel 4 CMO Katie Jackson as New Chair of Trustees
Artswork is excited to announce the appointment of Katie Jackson, Chief Marketing Officer at Channel 4, as the charity’s new Chair of Trustees. Jackson brings a wealth of creative, strategic and leadership expertise to the role, marking an exciting new chapter for the organisation as it continues its mission to empower young people through creativity.
Jackson first joined Channel 4 in 2022 as Managing Director of their multi-award-winning in-house agency 4creative, tasked with driving the team’s bold, innovative and culturally potent output. In July 2024, she was appointed Channel 4’s Chief Marketing Officer, taking responsibility for the broadcaster’s brand strategy and its Marketing, Media, 4creative and Communications teams. Her work has been central to shaping Channel 4’s distinctive voice and steering its transformation into a digital-first public service streamer.
Artswork Co-Chief Executive Louise Govier welcomed the appointment, stating:
Katie’s track record in creative leadership, strategic transformation and championing diverse voices makes her an exceptional fit for Artswork. We are thrilled that she’ll be guiding our Board as we continue to enable young people to lead change through creativity in their communities.
We’d also like to thank Norinne Betjemann for her fantastic leadership and support as Artswork’s Chair over the last nine years. She will be a hard act to follow, but we think we’ve found the right person in Katie.
Speaking on her appointment, Jackson said:
Artswork has an incredible legacy of championing creativity and emphasising its value for the next generation. I’m honoured to step into the role of Chair and excited to support the team in shaping the next phase of impact for young people and communities.
As Chair of Trustees, Jackson will help steer the charity’s strategic direction, champion its values and support its senior leadership team in delivering programmes that enable young people to gain skills and lead change where they live.
Her blend of creative vision, organisational leadership and advocacy for inclusive opportunity positions her as a powerful force in advancing Artswork’s mission – ensuring creativity continues to transform young people and their communities for generations to come.
