Chair of Trustees

We are looking for a new Chair of our Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to lead a charity that is making a real difference in young people’s lives

You’ll be part of a passionate team, helping to unlock creative futures and drive systemic change through the arts, contributing to the nation’s wider cultural landscape.

As Chair, you will lead the Board of Trustees in ensuring Artswork delivers on its mission and remains financially sustainable, strategically ambitious, and responsive to the needs of young people.

About Us

Artswork is a national organisation committed to giving all young people the opportunity to lead, be changemakers, and thrive in the creative, cultural, and heritage sectors. We offer training across the whole of the UK and internationally, as well as delivering programmes across the south of England that:

  • Provide pre-employment training and placements for young people
  • Champion inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability
  • Support youth-led creative projects
  • Amplify youth voice

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about empowering young people through creativity
  • Has experience in leadership, governance, or strategic development
  • Is highly adept in communication, influencing, and relationship-building
  • Brings strong business or philanthropic networks and is confident in engaging potential supporters
  • Understands the challenges and opportunities facing the arts, education, and youth sectors
  • Is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Can maximise the diverse knowledge, skills, and experience of the Board in order to inform and grow the shared vision
