Leading Through Positive Communication is a reflective, practice-based full-day session designed to help people communicate with greater clarity, confidence and emotional intelligence, whether they’re facilitating learning, leading teams, or communicating in professional settings, including creative, cultural and heritage organisations.

Rather than treating communication as a set of techniques to apply, this course invites participants to explore how meaning is created, shared and received. It blends reflective practice with practical tools, supporting participants to understand their own communication preferences, respond thoughtfully to others, and shape messages that are clear, inclusive and engaging.

Through structured reflection, facilitated discussion and real-world scenarios, participants explore how communication can support psychological safety, reduce misunderstanding and strengthen working relationships, particularly in situations involving pressure, emotion or complexity.

The course draws on a range of well-established communication models such as Transactional Analysis, the Communication Cycle, the Rhetorical Triangle and Conversational Learning. The theories explored here will be presented as practical tools that you can apply immediately in your role.
