United in Art is a free online festival created by young people, for young people, shaped by Artswork's Youth Board.
This one-day event is designed to celebrate creativity from young voices across the UK.

Explore our exciting festival line-up, filled with creative workshops that encourage understanding, bridge differences, and celebrate stories that make communities vibrant:
Protest Zines: 11:00 – 12:30
Spend 90 minutes with creative practitioner Angela Chick, exploring the ways you can use homemade zines to share your unique voice through words, images, and drawings, while designing and creating your own Protest Zine!
Illustration: 13:00 – 14:00
Join award winning young painter and illustrator Ashton Attzs to discover how to approach illustration, develop your own style, and create your own work of art.
Poetry: 14:30 – 16:00
Work collaboratively with flo poet Woodzy to create a one-of-a-kind poem alongside a live illustrator
(All participants will receive a copy of the finished poem and illustration)
Our Experience: Getting into the Creative Arts Q&A Panel: 16:30 – 18:00

All workshops are free to attend, but you'll need to register so we can manage numbers and ensure the best experience for everyone.

All sessions have been tailored to support young people aged 11-25

Once you book, you will receive a Zoom access link in your Eventbrite confirmation email that will grant you access to the workshop at the scheduled start time. Zoom is free to use, and no account is required to join the session.

If you've booked a place and can't make it, please email us on [email protected] no less than 1 day before the event so we can reissue your place.

Yes - you will need a stable internet connection to attend the workshops.

All sessions are designed to use materials that you are likely to have at home. For all sessions, please have a few sheets of blank paper / notebook, and a pen or pencil to hand. We will email in advance if there are materials that would be helpful for you to gather before the workshop.

Yes - we will be using live closed captioning to increase the accessibility of the sessions.

Members of the Artswork team will be present throughout the workshop and will identify themselves to all participants at the start of the session. The workshops will be set up so that participants cannot directly message one another at any point during the session. It's preferable for participants to have their cameras on at the start and end of each session, especially when we invite everyone to share their work on screen. However, there is no requirement to keep cameras on in order to take part.

No, this is a live event only and we will not be recording sessions to share publicly, though images of the artwork may be shared.
