The Magical Time Machine Clock
Dover’s time has been thrown out of sync! A lightning strike has transformed the Maison Dieu’s famous old clock into a time machine, spiralling Dover into a mind-blowing mix of historical eras.
Join us as intrepid time-travellers explore the town, discovering secret symbols and visiting up to 15 arts, heritage and community spaces. Your mission? Help the Steam Punk scientists at the Maison Dieu correct the Time Machine and bring Dover back to the 21st century!
What to Expect
The Dover Time Machine Built by young people from EKC Dover College working alongside puppeteer and artist James Frost, this illuminated, interactive time machine features its own soundtrack from Dover’s history and invites visitors to step inside. Located in the Maison Dieu Council Chamber, it’s a celebration of young people’s creativity and craftsmanship.
Spectacular Light Projections Artwork created by over 1,000 local schoolchildren will be projected onto buildings across Dover, taking you on a visual journey from prehistory to an imagined ecological future. Look out for stunning projections on the Maison Dieu House façade, St Mary’s Church, and near the Market Square by The Art Club.
Across 15 Venues Explore Dover’s past, present and ecological future through light projections, music, dance, drama, art, craft and hands-on activities for all ages.
