Course information
When safeguarding adults, it is vital that they are consulted with and given choices over any actions taken to protect them. This course is designed to help you understand the specific safeguarding considerations that need to be made when working with adults at risk.
This course will explore the additional categories of abuse for adults, when to share without consent, the Mental Capacity Act and how you might identify concerns in the context of the work that you deliver.
You will receive a certificate once you have completed this course.
Duration: 4-4.5 hours
In this course you will:
- Learn about the different categories of abuse identified by the Care Act 2014
- Understand how to manage disclosures and accusations of abuse
- Learn about consent and when you can share without it.
- Develop confidence in how to apply safeguarding practice to your role
