Dover SmART Project Wall Sculptures

Young Carers from Dover SmART created bold and vibrant wall sculptures using repurposed materials for their public gallery.

Three abstract, colourful wall sculptures hanging against a gallery wall. They resemble the shape of a flower, spiral, and face

Young Carers at Dover SmART originally planned to design a new floor for their public space, but instead chose to create bold, vibrant wall sculptures using the building’s original floor tiles. Supported by artists Liz Gibney, Charlotte Chapman, and Dream Safari, the young people explored themes of public art, accessibility, and architecture while creating their artworks.

The sculptures are now permanently displayed in Dover SmART’s gallery and received positive feedback from attendees at the reveal party.

It's great to see the new space and the new artworks fit well.

It's brilliant to see the new artworks, they really match the energy here
